Miyaeva's 13th SPArty

It amazes me to think that 13 years ago I was looking into my baby girls beautiful brown eyes for the very first time. I was blessed with an angel!
A month before my daughter, Miyaeva's birthday, we sat down to figure out what kind of party she wanted and miss Miyaeva decided on a spa party, which we decided to call it, Miyaeva's SPArty!!!
We thought of a zebra theme, since my daughter is obsessed with all things zebra at this moment and blue accents. We then began a to-do list of all the fun activities she wanted, which consisted of handmade nail polish invites and yes, we had a blast making them!! :)

The invites read;
You are invited  to...
M.R.I (my daughter's initials)
Perfect 13 Day SPArty
Date & Time
Our address
We chose Mani's*Pedi's*Facials :)
On the nail polish handle, it reads;
Please call to confirm your appointment @ name, # & email
Thank You!

They were a hit. All the girls loved them, as well as my daughter and I! We love doing crafts together and receiving positive feedback!! :)
Moving on to our next fun, exciting project are the vanilla scented cupcake bath bombs that we were inspired while shopping at Fred Meyer. Have you seen them? SO cute but SO expensive!! $11.99 each to be exact! While we stood there and pondered on, hmm, is it worth the money to buy each girl one for a party favor or not, I decided on going home and finding a recipe for them and voila, it got my creative juices flowing! I'd rather make them and design them the way we would like! :) We ended up with these all natural yummy vanilla smelling cupcake bath bombs...
I will  have to admit that I am my worst critic and I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get the "frosting" to swirl a little higher then it is in the picture but my daughter thought they were super cute, so I relaxed and went with them anyway. I will find a way to get that "frosting" to swirl higher, though! We packaged them and set them on the gift table. The girls thought they were real cupcakes, too!! I think I should have had a framed sign stating, "Bath Bombs, DO NOT EAT!" Haha!
As the girlie's arrived we thought it would be a great idea to have each girl sit and decorate a pair of sandals with ribbon while waiting for the others to arrive. That way too, they would have another party gift to take home. :)

I also thought it would be a great idea to personalize a mason jar (that I had storing in my cupboards FOREVER) for each girl to use as a cup for lemonade. They ended up turning out so cute!! Don't you think?!

After the girlie's were done with their sandals, we had them move to stations. We had the manicure/pedicure station together and the facial station separate. I ended up doing the girls' manicures and my sister did the pedicures. The girls applied their own avocado/honey facial mask  and wiped off  the mask with a lemon scented wet towel, which the girls loved, too!!
All the girls LOVED the paraffin wax!
There were 3 nail design choices for the girls to choose from, tye-dye, cupcakes or converse shoes. Miya chose the cupcake design!

Facial  Station

The food table was there when the girls got hungry. There was sushi (my daughter's favorite food)  turkey, cream cheese triangle sandwiches, chips and salsa, pink strawberry lemonade, water and chocolate fondue. Yummy!!! :)
After my daughter opened gifts we had cake and yes, I made the cake too! Haha! I love trying to be creative and do a lot of things myself. It's just who I am, I have always been that way. :)
My daughter's 13th birthday party was a success and everything ended up turning out so cute! It warms my heart  to hear my daughter say, "Mom that was the best birthday, ever!" I think I hear that at all her birthdays! ;) I love to make my children smile. It's one of my greatest joy in life.
To finish the birthday night, my husband bought light balloons, which they had SO much fun playing with.

This is the end of Miyaeva's fun SPArty. Hope there were some ideas in here to inspire you. Thanks for visiting and stay tuned for more fun projects!
